Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy manipulates the soft tissues of your body - muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and skin. I will use varying degrees of pressure and movement.
Massage is generally considered part of integrative medicine. Medical & Wellness Centers are offering it more and more as a treatment along with standard treatment. It may be used for a wide range of medical conditions.
Studies of massage benefits have found massage can:
- Help reduce stress
- Lessen pain and muscle tension
- Increase relaxation
- Improve immune function
At Revive IV & Wellness we recommend massage therapy to help people cope with the pain and stress of various conditions, such as cancer, heart disease, stomach problems and even fibromyalgia, etc.
Sports Massage
Whether you’re a serious or occasional athlete, enjoying less muscle pain and stiffness, as well as improved performance is a good reason to get regular massage.
Sports massage incorporates techniques and stretching specific to the athlete’s sport. This type of massage therapy can be used before, during or after sporting events.
Sports massage should be part of a balanced training routine. This type of massage therapy can reduce recovery time, promote flexibility, help with muscle strain, heal injury, and help prevent injury.
Whether you’re a yogi, Cross Fitter, runner or partake in regular physical activity, sports massage can help you recover and increase your range of motion. Most athletes get a weekly massage. We recommend a minimum of one session per month.
Deep Tissue Massage
This treatment uses heat-driven muscle repair with a targeted pain and relax joints in your back and spine. The result is greater mobility without the soreness that sometimes follows a deep tissue treatment.
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is one of the most common types of massages you can get. It is performed to energize the body and improve overall health. This type of massage involves actions like percussion, kneading, vibration, tapping and rolling. Massage oil or lotion is used to protect the skin from friction.
Pre & Post Natal Massage
Science has shown that prenatal massage can reduce stress hormones, swollen joints and muscle pain while improving sleep. Our special pillow system is designed for the body of an expecting mother, allowing her to lie face down with full support. This experience is designed with the safety and comfort of mother and child in mind. Suitable for expectant mothers in their second and third trimester only.
